Preparing for Your Bouncy Castle Delivery

Once your booking is confirmed, there are a few simple things you can do to help us deliver and install your inflatable safely and efficiently.

Whether your booking is in a private garden, village hall or other suitable venue, this guide explains what to prepare, what happens when we arrive and what to expect throughout your hire.

Preparing the Hire Location

Preparation is slightly different depending on whether your inflatable is being installed in a private garden or at a venue.

🌿 Garden Hires

Our outdoor inflatables must be installed on a suitable natural grass or soil surface where they can be securely anchored.

Please clear garden furniture, toys, football goals, trampolines, play equipment, animal mess and other obstacles from the installation area before we arrive.

🏛️ Venue Hires

Please make sure the venue is open and accessible from the access time supplied with your booking.

Tables, chairs and decorations should be positioned so there is sufficient room for the inflatable, its required safety area and our setup equipment.

Outdoor Surface Requirements

For safety, our outdoor inflatables are installed on natural grass or suitable soil only.

We do not normally install outdoor inflatables on concrete, paving, tarmac, decking or artificial grass.

If possible, mowing longer grass a day or two before your booking can make the installation area easier to work with, but your lawn does not need to be freshly cut specifically for us.

Access to the Installation Area

Our inflatables are large and heavy when packed, so suitable access is essential.

Minimum Access Width: 3 ft

Please ensure there is at least approximately 3 ft of clear access from our vehicle to the installation area.

Please move bins, bicycles, plant pots, garden furniture and other obstacles from the route before we arrive. If there are steps, narrow gateways, restricted access or anything else we should know about, please contact us before your hire.

Power Requirements

Inflatables require a continuous electrical supply to operate their blowers throughout the hire.

⚡ 13-Amp Socket
One suitable standard 13-amp socket is normally required for each inflatable.
📏 Approximately 40 m
A suitable power supply should normally be available within approximately 40 metres of the inflatable.
🔌 Continuous Power
The blower must remain powered while the inflatable is in use.

Please do not disconnect, move or alter our electrical equipment. If you are unsure whether your power supply is suitable, contact us before your booking.

Pets & Delivery Access

Please keep dogs and other pets securely away from the delivery route and installation area while our team is working.

Pets should also be kept away from the inflatable throughout the hire to help prevent damage, contamination or interference with the equipment.

What Happens When We Arrive?

Our team will complete the installation and required setup checks before handing the inflatable over to you.

🚚

1. Arrival

We'll confirm the installation location and access.

📍

2. Positioning

We'll identify the safest suitable position for the inflatable.

🔧

3. Installation

The inflatable, blower and associated equipment are installed.

4. Safety Checks

We complete our setup checks before the inflatable is used.

A Responsible Adult Must Be Present

A responsible adult aged 18 or over must be present when we arrive.

They will need to show us the installation location, receive the equipment and be available for the handover and relevant operating information.

Our Setup & Safety Checks

We don't simply inflate the equipment and leave. Before handing an inflatable over, we complete appropriate installation and operational checks.

✓ Visual equipment condition check
✓ Appropriate anchoring or restraint
✓ Blower and electrical equipment check
✓ Inflation and operating pressure check
✓ Suitable safety space around equipment
✓ Final handover before use

Please Don't Move the Inflatable

Once our team has installed and handed over the inflatable, it must not be moved, repositioned, re-anchored or altered by the hirer. Its position and installation form part of our safety setup.

During Your Hire

Once everything is ready, a few simple rules help protect users and the equipment.

👨‍👩‍👧 Adult Supervision
A responsible adult must supervise use throughout the hire.
👟 Shoes & Sharp Items
Remove shoes, glasses, jewellery and sharp objects before entering.
🥤 Food & Drinks
Keep food, drinks and chewing gum away from the inflatable.
🎨 Face Paint
We don't normally allow face paint to be worn while using our inflatables because it can permanently stain the material.

What If the Inflatable Starts Losing Pressure?

If the inflatable unexpectedly begins to soften, deflate or lose pressure, stop all use immediately and remove everyone from the inflatable safely.

Check from a safe position whether the blower still has power and contact Rugby Inflatables for advice.

Do not allow anyone back onto the inflatable until the issue has been resolved and the inflatable is operating normally.

Outdoor Hires

Weather & Wind Safety

Weather conditions are monitored carefully for outdoor hires. Inflatables must not be operated in unsafe weather conditions.

Maximum Wind Speed: 24 mph

An inflatable must not be used where wind or gust speeds reach or exceed the permitted operating limit.

Heavy rain, extreme conditions or other weather-related safety concerns may also affect your hire. If we identify a concern before your booking, we'll contact you to discuss the situation.

When It's Time for Collection

Our team will return during the agreed collection period and safely dismantle and remove the equipment.

✓ Please make sure users have finished before dismantling begins.

✓ Keep the access route clear.

✓ Remove personal belongings from around the inflatable.

✓ Leave the blower running until our team tells you otherwise.

For venue bookings, collection is normally planned around the venue access period so we have sufficient time to dismantle and remove the equipment before you need to leave.

Delivery Day FAQs

Do I need to be there when you deliver?

Yes. A responsible adult aged 18 or over must be present for delivery and handover.

Can I choose exactly where the inflatable goes?

We'll listen to your preferred location, but the final position must be suitable for safe installation, anchoring, access and required operating space.

Can the inflatable be moved later?

No. Once installed and handed over, the inflatable must remain in the position selected by our team.

What happens if my garden isn't suitable?

We can only install equipment where we are satisfied that the location and surface allow a safe setup. If you are unsure about your garden, please contact us before the hire date.

What if I have a question on the day?

Contact us if you are unsure about anything concerning the equipment or your hire. We'd rather you ask than remain uncertain.
