Training includes:
• Safe setup and dismantling procedures
• Correct anchoring and securing methods
• Equipment inspection and maintenance
• Risk awareness and hazard identification
• Safe operation and customer guidance
This ensures every inflatable is handled by trained, competent professionals.
All inflatables supplied by Rugby Inflatables carry valid PIPA certification tags and are subject to regular inspection and testing.
For indoor hires, we also assess ceiling height, access routes, and power supply to ensure safe installation.
Risk Assessments & Safe Setup
Risk assessments form a key part of every hire.
Before and during your booking, we:
• Identify and manage potential hazards
• Assess venue suitability and access
• Apply appropriate control measures
• Follow current Health and Safety Executive guidance and industry best practice
✔️ On-Site Safety Checklist
In addition to our risk assessments, every inflatable is checked on setup using a structured safety checklist. This ensures all equipment is safe, secure, and ready for use before your event begins.
Our setup checks include:
• Setup area clear of debris and sharp objects
• Inflatables positioned on stable, level ground
• All inflatables securely anchored
• Blowers securely attached and positioned at a safe distance
• Electrical cables checked and in safe working condition
• No visible tears, rips, or damage to seams
• Equipment fully inflated and operating correctly
• Wind speed measured using an anemometer (outdoor hires)
• Internal pressure checked using a manometer
These checks are carried out on every hire to ensure a safe and reliable setup.
Public Liability Insurance
Rugby Inflatables holds £5 million Public Liability Insurance, providing reassurance for private hires, schools, and corporate events.
Wind & Weather Safety
Weather conditions play a critical role in inflatable safety.
• Inflatables must not be used outdoors in wind speeds exceeding 24mph (Force 5 on the Beaufort Scale)
• Some inflatables may have lower limits, which we always follow
• We continuously monitor weather forecasts before and during your hire
If conditions are unsafe, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust your booking in the interest of safety.
