Party Planning Throughout the Year
Seasonal Party Advice
Every season brings different things to consider when planning
a children's party. From summer garden celebrations to winter
village hall parties, this guide will help you choose a suitable
setup and prepare for your Rugby Inflatables hire.
Indoor or Outdoor Party?
The right choice depends on the time of year, your venue or
garden and the conditions expected on the day.
Rugby Inflatables normally offers outdoor hires from
early April through to the end of September.
From October through to 31 March, our
inflatable hires are indoors only.
Indoor venues can also be a great option at any time of year
if you would prefer not to rely on the weather.
🌱
March to May
Spring Parties
Spring brings longer days and improving temperatures,
making April and May popular months for the return of
outdoor garden parties.
Things to consider
-
Our outdoor season normally begins in early April.
-
Grass can still be soft or waterlogged following
prolonged winter or spring rainfall.
-
Wind conditions can change even on bright and dry days.
-
Your setup area must be suitable natural grass or soil
for an outdoor inflatable.
-
Early spring venue parties can be a useful alternative
if you do not want to depend on garden conditions.
Spring planning tip:
Check your garden before booking. If the ground remains
very soft or regularly becomes waterlogged, an indoor
venue may provide a more reliable option.
☀️
June to August
Summer Parties
Summer is one of the most popular times of year for
garden parties, birthdays, school events and community
celebrations.
Things to consider
-
Popular weekends can book well in advance.
-
Children should have regular breaks and easy access
to drinking water.
-
Inflatable surfaces can become warm in strong,
direct sunlight.
-
Providing a shaded area away from the inflatable
gives children somewhere to rest.
-
Summer weather can still bring rain, thunderstorms
and strong winds.
Hot-weather safety:
Very high temperatures can make an inflatable unsuitable
or uncomfortable to use safely. Safety will always take
priority over continuing a hire.
🍂
September to November
Autumn Parties
September can still provide excellent conditions for an
outdoor celebration, but autumn also marks the transition
into our indoor hire season.
Things to consider
-
Outdoor hires normally finish at the end of September.
-
From October, Rugby Inflatables operates indoor-only
inflatable hires.
-
Ground conditions can become softer following
prolonged rainfall.
-
Wind and temperature can change quickly during
autumn.
-
Village halls and indoor venues can become busy,
so securing your venue early is recommended.
Autumn planning tip:
If your celebration is during October or November,
start by finding a suitable indoor venue and then choose
an inflatable that fits safely within the hall.
❄️
December to February
Winter Parties
Winter does not mean the bouncing has to stop. Indoor
inflatable hire can be ideal for birthdays, Christmas
celebrations and family parties.
Things to consider
-
Winter inflatable hires are indoors only.
-
Confirm the venue's access and exit times before
completing your inflatable booking.
-
Check both the available floor space and ceiling
height.
-
Allow sufficient time for us to set up before your
guests arrive.
-
Confirm that the venue permits inflatable equipment.
-
Consider where tables, chairs and other party
activities will be positioned around the inflatable.
Indoor season:
Rugby Inflatables operates indoor-only inflatable hires
from October through to 31 March.
Weather & Safety Come First
Outdoor inflatable hire always remains weather dependent,
regardless of the season.
We monitor conditions and will not operate an inflatable
where wind, heavy rain, extreme heat or other conditions
make the hire unsafe.
During an outdoor hire, weather and wind conditions must
continue to be monitored throughout use and the inflatable
must not be used if conditions become unsafe.
