Rugby Inflatables Indoor Hire Guide
Indoor Bouncy Castle Hire Guide
Everything you need to know when hiring a bouncy castle for a village hall, community centre or other indoor venue.
Planning an Indoor Party?
Indoor bouncy castle hire is a great option for birthdays, celebrations and events throughout the year, particularly during the colder months when outdoor conditions can be unpredictable.
Before booking, there are a few important things to check with your venue. This guide explains the space, ceiling height, access, power and timing requirements so your inflatable can be delivered, installed and collected safely.
Inflatable Size and Required Space Are Different
The physical size of the inflatable is only part of the space needed for safe installation and use.
Additional clearance is required for anchoring, the blower, access and safe operation. When checking whether your venue is suitable, always use the Required Space measurements shown below rather than the inflatable size alone.
Why Choose Indoor Bouncy Castle Hire?
Weather Protection
Your party isn't dependent on rain or outdoor wind conditions.
Great for Winter
Indoor venues allow inflatable parties to continue throughout the colder months.
Everything Together
Many halls provide space for the inflatable, tables, food and other party activities.

Ceiling Height Matters
Ceiling height is one of the most important measurements when choosing an inflatable for an indoor venue.

Always measure to the lowest point above the proposed setup area. Beams, lighting, basketball hoops, decorations and other fixtures can reduce the usable ceiling height.
How to Measure Your Hall
Measure the actual usable space where the inflatable will be installed rather than relying only on the hall's advertised overall dimensions.
- Measure the available width.
- Measure the available depth or length.
- Measure the lowest usable ceiling height.
- Allow for stages, pillars and fixed furniture.
- Check for low-hanging lights, beams or decorations.
- Make sure emergency exits remain clear.
- Allow sufficient space for tables and other party activities.
Venue Access
We need suitable access from our vehicle to the area where the equipment will be installed.
Please tell us before your booking if access includes:
- Steps or stairs.
- Narrow corridors or doorways.
- Long distances from the unloading point.
- Restricted parking or loading areas.
- Security gates or controlled access.
- Lifts.
- Any other obstacle that could affect delivery.
Access width
Please ensure there is approximately 3ft of clear access for our equipment unless a different arrangement has been agreed with us.
Power Requirements
Each inflatable requires a suitable electrical supply for its blower.
- One suitable UK 13A mains socket per inflatable.
- The socket should be reasonably close to the setup area.
- The electrical supply must remain available throughout the hire.
Rugby Inflatables supplies the blower, suitable extension equipment and the operating equipment required for the inflatable.
How Are Inflatables Secured Indoors?
Outdoor inflatables are normally secured using suitable ground stakes. Inside a hall, weighted anchorage is used instead.
Rugby Inflatables supplies the anchoring equipment required for the inflatable and installs it as part of the setup.
You don't need to provide anchoring equipment.
Venue Access, Party & Exit Times
When booking a hall, we need to know the venue times as well as your actual party times.
Venue Access
The earliest time we're allowed into the building.
Party Start
The time your guests and inflatable users arrive.
Party Finish
The time the organised event finishes.
Venue Exit
The time everyone and all equipment must be out.
Allow Time for Setup and Collection
Please don't book your venue for exactly the same times as your party.
We need access before your guests arrive to unload, install and check the equipment. We also require enough time after the party finishes to safely dismantle and remove everything before your venue booking ends.
Venue Hire Charge
A venue hire charge may apply where a booking takes place at a venue with fixed access and exit times.
This applies to venue bookings whether the equipment is installed indoors or outdoors where we are required to work within specific access arrangements.
Any applicable charge will be shown as part of your booking.
What Happens When We Arrive?
1. Check
We inspect the proposed setup area.
2. Install
We position, inflate and secure the equipment.
3. Safety Check
The required setup and safety checks are completed.
4. Handover
We explain the important operating information.
Supervision During Your Party
A responsible person aged 18 or over must supervise the inflatable while it is in use.
The inflatable should not be left available for use without appropriate supervision.
Please follow the operating and safety guidance provided during the handover and the instructions displayed on the inflatable.
Collection
We will return at the arranged time and safely dismantle the equipment.
Please make sure the inflatable is clear of users, food, decorations and personal belongings when we arrive.
Someone aged 18 or over should remain available until our equipment has been collected.
