Your Delivery & Setup Explained
What Happens on Delivery Day?
Your bouncy castle delivery involves much more than simply dropping off the equipment.
From checking access and inspecting the installation area to anchoring, inflation, safety checks and customer handover, here's what you can expect when Rugby Inflatables arrives.
Before We Arrive
Help Us Get Your Setup Off to a Good Start
Please make sure the installation area and access route are clear, a suitable power supply is available and a responsible adult aged 18 or over is present when we arrive.

✓ Approx. 3ft Access
✓ Power Available
✓ Adult 18+ Present
Garden Hire Delivery Times
For standard garden hires, delivery normally takes place between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
We use a delivery window rather than giving every customer an exact arrival time because our route can include several bookings. Travel, traffic, access and the amount of time required to safely install each inflatable can all affect the day's schedule.
1
We Arrive & Check Access
When we arrive, we'll first confirm the route between our vehicle and the installation area.
We normally require approximately 3ft of clear access. Gates and pathways should be unlocked and free from bins, bicycles, garden furniture and other obstacles. We'll also take into account steps, narrow areas or any other access restrictions.
2
We Inspect the Installation Area
Before unloading and installing the inflatable, we'll check that the proposed location is suitable for the equipment you've booked.
✓ Required operating space
✓ Ground or floor condition
✓ Overhead clearance
✓ Surrounding hazards
For outdoor hires, our inflatables must be installed on a suitable natural grass or soil surface where they can be safely anchored.
What If the Setup Area Isn't Suitable?
Safety comes first. If the proposed location doesn't provide sufficient space, suitable anchoring, safe access or another important requirement, we may not be able to install the inflatable there.
Where possible, we'll discuss whether there is a suitable alternative location available. However, we cannot install equipment where we believe the setup would be unsafe.
3
We Unload & Position the Inflatable
Once we're satisfied that the location is suitable, we'll carefully move the inflatable and associated equipment to the installation area.
The inflatable is unrolled and positioned, the blower is placed appropriately and electrical equipment is arranged with safety in mind.
4
We Inflate & Secure the Equipment
The inflatable is connected to the appropriate blower, inflated and secured using the correct anchorage or restraint method for the installation location.
Outdoor Installations
Suitable ground stakes are normally used to secure our inflatables into natural grass or soil.
Indoor Installations
Suitable weighted anchorage is used where ground stakes cannot be used.
5
We Complete Our Setup & Safety Checks
Before the inflatable is handed over, we carry out the appropriate setup and operational checks.
✓ Inflatable condition
✓ Anchorage or restraint
✓ Blower & electrical equipment
✓ Operating pressure
✓ Required safety space
✓ Wind conditions where applicable
Where applicable, appropriate equipment is used to check operating pressure and outdoor wind conditions as part of our setup process.
Outdoor Wind Safety
For outdoor hires, wind conditions form an important part of our safety assessment.
Our inflatables must not be operated where wind or gust speeds reach or exceed the permitted operating limit of 24 mph, or a lower manufacturer-specified limit where applicable.

We Complete the Safety Handover
Once installation is complete, we'll explain the important operating and supervision information to the responsible adult.
✓ User numbers & restrictions
✓ Adult supervision
✓ Safe-use rules
✓ Prohibited items
✓ Weather guidance
✓ What to do if there's a problem
A Responsible Adult Must Be Present
Someone aged 18 or over must be available when we arrive to show us the installation area, receive the relevant safety information and accept responsibility for the equipment during the hire.
7
Payment & Handover
Any outstanding balance is settled in accordance with your booking arrangements.
Once installation and safety checks have been completed and the responsible adult has received the relevant information, the equipment is handed over and your hire can begin.
How Long Does Setup Take?
A typical single-inflatable setup can often be completed in around 20 minutes, although this isn't a guaranteed setup time.
The actual time depends on the inflatable, access, distance from our vehicle, installation conditions and any site-specific requirements. We'll always take the time necessary to complete the setup and safety checks properly.
Village Halls, Schools & Other Venues
What About Venue Deliveries?
Venue bookings work slightly differently from standard garden hires because we need to work around the venue's fixed access and exit times.
We'll use the access and event times supplied with your booking to plan delivery, setup and collection. Please make sure we can enter the venue at the agreed access time.
It's important to allow enough time before your party for installation and after the party for us to safely dismantle and remove the equipment.
Venue Hire Charge
A £10 venue charge applies to venue bookings where we are required to work around fixed access, setup or collection times.

Power on Delivery Day
A suitable electrical supply must be available for the inflatable blower.
13-Amp Supply
One suitable standard 13-amp socket is normally required for each inflatable.
Approximately 40m
The suitable power supply should normally be available within approximately 40 metres of the inflatable.
